Whether you need to run to town suddenly (with no caretaker available) or you just feel like getting out and about, with a baby and/or a toddler, it can be exhausting. It doesn’t have to be, anymore! It’s after the year 2010, innovators and technology make nearly anything possible these days! You didn’t think strollers would be an exception to that, did you?!

Thankfully, they’re not. They were pretty high on everyone’s “needs improvement” list… so they changed! They’re still changing, but they’re pretty sweet right now! Strollers are so much more convenient now than they used to be. (Could you imagine having to try toting a baby around in some of the strollers from the past?) It could’ve taken you an eternity to get you, your baby, and the stroller in and out of doorways before. Until we as a population realized the importance of simple, yet efficient, equipment, being mobile with a baby was nearly impossible.

What Should I Consider When Picking a Stroller?

First, think about your baby’s age. Then, how many seats do you need? Do you have more than one small child? Do you plan on having more children in the future and keeping the same stroller? What kinds of places do you imagine using the stroller the most in? On paved areas, or more rugged terrain? Shopping, nature walks, or runs?

Do you already have a car seat you just want attachments for? Would you want a big, heavy duty stroller for supreme shopping freedom? Or do you want a super-lightweight, folding stroller in case you feel like holding your baby a little closer?

Size. It’s important because you need to look at whether or not the handles are adjustable, especially if you’re very tall or happen to be shorter than some strollers! Included with size concerns, you should consider weight capacities. If you plan on using the stroller for quite some time, you may need to get one that can hold 50lbs or more, which isn’t too difficult!

Price. One of the most important things to look for in any shopping is the price of the product. While you may not want to sacrifice too much quality, it is wise to browse for a bargain. Don’t buy a stroller that only costs $2 online unless you’re certain it’s in perfect condition and does what it is meant to. You may be able to find a deal like that in person, from someone you know or a thrift store, but beware online! That’s one reason it’s great to look into reviews and comments on any site you choose to buy from. We’re here to help make that part a bit easier for you. We research and review only the top ten absolute best strollers available on Amazon for you below!

BOB Sport Utility Stroller (Meadow)

  • This lovely, sporty stroller costs a little over $400.
  • As its name implies, you can count on this stroller to survive a treacherous hike or a quick run! The front wheel is fixed, so you won’t have to worry about it veering off-track too much, either.
  • The wheels are made of high-impact polymer and the tires are a nice, sturdy 16 inches with knobs.
  • As if you were on a bike, you have access to a hand brake in case your stroller picks up too much momentum going down an incline!
  • The handlebars can be adjusted in 9 different ways, and did you notice they’re padded?! The suspension system is adjustable, as well! Your baby won’t have to be uncomfortable just because there isn’t a sidewalk.
  • Don’t sweat its size, because it can fold up in as little as two steps.
  • Great for parents wanting to spend more time in nature (running).

BOB 2016 Revolution PRO (Canyon)

  • The beautiful, red Revolution Pro costs a bit over $400, but boasts it potential proudly.
  • At first glance, you might think it’s exactly the same as the Sport Utility Stroller, but look a little harder. The front wheel swivels (and locks), so you can really be a master maneuverer!
  • You can take this awesome stroller anywhere. Trails, pavement, your house, wherever you want!
  • It can fold up for storage, and has rear drum brakes to prevent high-speed mishaps.
  • Did I mention you can take this baby to the beach?
  • The handlebars are padded and adjustable, too!

Baby Jogger 2016 City Mini 3W Single (Black/Gray)

  • This City Mini 3W Single is less than $300! I love its pod-like appearance, impressive comfort capabilities, and features.
  • If you’re looking for something really lightweight, the 3W Single is less than 20lbs itself and can hold up to 50lbs!
  • Not only is it lightweight and durable, its patented technology allows it to be folded easily in one move! That’s what I call efficiency!
  • It is meant for city use, in general, to make running through everyday motions in life a lot easier with Baby!
  • There are 2 peek-a-boo windows for you to check on your little one easily through.
  • The sun canopy isn’t stuck in one position, and neither are the front wheels (unless you want them to be), but the handlebars are.

Baby Jogger 2016 City Mini GT Single (Black/Black)

  • For less than $400, you can get your hands on this slick City Mini GT. I like the black-on-black feature, and its extended capabilities compared to the 3W.
  • You can adjust your handlebar height on this model.
  • You’re not stuck only being able to run errands with this version, as it features all-terrain tires. That means you can take a stroll in a national park after lunch with Baby.
  • Your baby can enjoy the benefits of a sun canopy and a padded seat that can recline! (It reclines so far your baby can almost lie down!)
  • Peek on your little one with easy-to-see-through windows.
  • The Mini GT weighs less than 25lbs and can usually be folded without both hands!

Graco Breaze Click Connect Stroller (Pierce)

  • If you already have (or are interested in) a Graco Click Connect infant car seat, you can get this frame for about $150. (If you’re still waiting for Baby to get here, you could put this or the car seat on your registry!) Any kind should fit! Just attach it in one, simple step.
  • Your baby can enjoy this stroller as soon as it’s born until it reaches 50lbs! (What a good investment!) This is one of the most affordable, easy-to-gift ideas.
  • Without a car seat, the frame only weighs about 18lbs and has the ability to fold easily.
  • The Breaze Click Connect can fully recline your baby. Oh, your baby’s calves will be supported, too!
  • It does have a canopy.

BOB Revolution SE Single (Orange)

  • The supreme Revolution SE suits all needs for under $400!
  • The Revolution weighs less than 30lbs and can be folded. Despite its deceptively light weight, users highly praise its durable frame. (Many have kept this product for over four years — with minimal, to no, repairs!)
  • The accessory adaptor helps you carry everything you and Baby could need on your errand or leisure run!
  • The seat is padded, with a harness, and the ability to recline.
  • The wheel can swivel or lock,  and the stroller’s suspension system allows you to take your baby along for any ride, comfortably.

BOB 2016 Revolution FLEX (Black)

  • This is another stroller, suitable for jogging, strolling, and storing everything you need. You only need to part with about $500 to enjoy the luxuries of the Flex.
  • The Revolution Flex can handle any environment with swiveling wheels that can also lock.
  • The handlebar can be positioned in 9 different ways, and you can adjust your baby’s shade.
  • This baby stroller can hold up to ~70lbs — so you can shop and store stuff in the cargo basket!
  • Expect this to be an investment for your future, you shouldn’t need another stroller (unless you have two children around the same time, maybe)!

Baby Jogger 2016 City Mini Double (Black/Gray)

  • Need to let two kids rest at once while you’re running rampant? Spend less than $500 and you (and your babies) can rest easy for years to come!
  • Don’t worry about the extra seat adding extra weight to the stroller, it weighs less than 30lbs, like most sturdy, single strollers! The light weight doesn’t mean your slightly older children can’t rest in this stroller, each seat can hold up to 50lbs.
  • The extra seat doesn’t make it any harder to fit through doorways, unlike with some double strollers. This one can zip through a doorway, no problem.
  • Worried about storage? Don’t be. This City Mini Double folds flat so you can avoid storage trouble! You can also easily incorporate featured accessories to make it a complete travel-stroller.
  • This stroller’s seats recline and the shades come up. They have peek-a-boo windows, too.
  • You sacrifice the ability to use this stroller on rugged terrain, but the GT Double can handle it!

Britax 2016 B-Agile 3 (Black)

  • The B-Agile 3 is less than $300 and can be combined with many infant car seats.
  • It weighs less than 20lbs but can hold up to 55lbs.
  • Customers who have purchased the B-Agile enjoy the featherweight frame’s ability to glide through groups of people and grocery stores.
  • The canopy comes out a nice distance, so your baby isn’t easily blinded by the light or exposed to rain.
  • Once you learn how to, you should be able to fold your B-Agile 3 frame with one hand!
  • Store extra items under your baby’s seat or in the zippered pocket for convenience! (Or secret snack storage!)

Maclaren Quest (Black)

  • The Quest is one of our cheaper choices, ringing up around $300. Not only is it affordable, it is also amazingly lightweight — weighing less than 15lbs — yet durable, holding up to 55lbs.
  • The canopy has a visor, is extendable, and is waterproof! You can take your baby out in sprinkles or sunshine! (It also comes with a wind-resistant rain cover).
  • The seat can be adjusted 4 different ways, including full recline.
  • It looks sporty and stylish (and you can wash the seat)!
  • The leg rest can be extended and you can place a few items in the shopping basket at the bottom.
  • The Maclaren Quest can fold up and be carried by a strap.
  • The canopy is most people’s favorite feature on this particular stroller, saying it covers a broader area than most!
  • Most Maclaren strollers are backed by a lifetime warranty, ensuring supreme quality.

The Final Decision…

Many of these strollers offer great features and accessories. Most, if not all of them, are easy to fold and store in vehicles or your home. Before you make your purchase, don’t be afraid to look at several of these options.

If you don’t want to take your baby on trail runs, don’t worry about buying a stroller that has all-terrain wheels. If you don’t want to travel with your baby, don’t worry about whether the stroller can be transformed into a travel system or not!

After having done this research, if I were to make a decision on a stroller myself, I’d probably choose one of the BOB strollers. The current line of BOB strollers is packed with awesome options, most of which have all-terrain wheels and handling! I think the brakes are a great addition to their products, especially for runners.

If I were to buy a stroller, regardless of my number of children, I’d want one like the BOB Revolution Flex because it can handle almost anything and store nearly everything! In my opinion, a stroller can’t get much better than that!

If you’re relying on your registry to encourage people to purchase a stroller for you, the Graco Breaze is really hard to beat! It’s a nice, durable frame that can fit plenty of Click Connect seats, so you can have a custom-looking, slightly cheaper, stroller without sacrificing too much quality! We wish you and your little ones many, happy strolls!

The best stroller of 2016 doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg! We wish you and your little ones many, happy strolls!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
